handcrafted

I first started making jewelry several years ago using beads and wire.  After long admiring the work of various metalsmiths, I developed a strong desire to work with that medium and thus began my journey with metal. I am entirely self-taught, which I believe has given me complete freedom in developing my designs. As my technique and style evolved, I noticed that my favorite pieces were a combination of edgy, organic, and romantic, which shows through in my current collection.  I love style that is classic and laid-back, yet still feels fashion forward, and want my jewelry to emulate that. My goal is to make pieces that feel as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans, yet sophisticated enough to accompany your little black dress.
I am drawn to shapes that seem natural and free-flowing and tend to veer away from designs that feel too structured or intentional. The primary metal I work with is sterling silver. Using my torch to add texture to the metal, I create pieces that give a sense of fluidity and ease. The darkened patina brings out these details and adds to the sense of a well-worn favorite. My love of color has inspired my latest work involving freshwater pearls.
While I love to visit the big city, I prefer the laid-back lifestyle of the small town. I currently reside in Chambersburg, PA where I create all of my designs in my home studio.
